hi, we're kh mushrooms

We're Rochelle and Dan, partners in life and business, and the people behind KH Mushrooms. What started as a shared curiosity in 2022 grew through hiking, cooking, research, and countless conversations about fungi, food, and sustainable growing.

Over time, that curiosity turned into hands-on experience and a real commitment to the craft. Dan focuses on the growing side, refining each process through trial, observation, and plenty of hard-earned lessons. Rochelle helps bring the vision beyond the grow room and into the community.

We grow a variety of gourmet mushrooms, including oysters, shiitake, and lion's mane, in a carefully controlled home-based environment. Every batch is tended with care, from culture to harvest, with a focus on quality, freshness, and flavor.

So, why “KH”?

KH stands for Kanoos Hause, a name passed down through family and rooted in the feeling of home. It comes from a place that brought people together, which is exactly what we hope KH Mushrooms continues to do. “Kanoos” also comes from our last name, Knoester, pronounced “canoe-stir”, a small nod to where we come from and the waves we're hoping to make.
